IDAK assists ministry service career aspirations
for three audiences:
- Ministry service professionals (pastors, campus/youth
workers, college/seminary professors, parachurch leaders, overseas mission
staff, and church denominational leaders).
- Marketplace individuals seeking to transition to
ministry service within a church, local or global ministry organization.
- Executives and board members of ministry service
organizations, churches and ministry focused colleges/seminaries seeking
to resolve management job performance conflicts or planning to hire
an executive.
Our services begin with a free initial consultation.
We provide one half-hour with a certified counselor to discuss your ministry
aspirations and specific needs to determine if our services can be of
assistance. Your counselor will be an experienced ministry service professional
who has a graduate degree from a ministry-focused college/seminary. Sensitive
ministry issues related to calling, ministry transferrable skills and
God=s purpose for your life are common topics discussed during your free
visit and during our consultation services.
During your free consultation, we also explain which
services we recommend and their costs. Our fees range from $150 to $1,950.
These services can be provided by telephone or in our IDAK office. For
more information about the administration of our services, go to our home
page and click on Mid-Career Counseling, Job Hunting Services or Organizational
Consulting. Call 1-800-245-1108 to schedule a no-cost consultation with
an IDAK certified counselor. For consultation sessions by telephone, our
free service does not include any telephone calling charges if applicable.
What Ministry Organizations are Saying About
IDAK's Assessment Services
OVER THE PAST YEARS IDAK HAS RECEIVED NUMEROUS COMMENDATIONS
REGARDING ITS ASSESSMENT SYSTEMS AND CONSULTING SERVICES. THESE COMMENDATIONS
ARE RECORDED AS THEY WERE ORIGINALLY RECEIVED. OVER TIME, SEVERAL OF THE
INDIVIDUALS HAVE MOVED TO NEW POSITIONS OR RETIRED.
"The most theologically sound, practically useful
approach I know of to discover your God-given talents. It is a tool for
gaining valuable insight into God's direction for your life and service.
We use it to assist those entering vocational Christian ministry or seeking
new service opportunities."
Donald A. Wiggins, D.Min.
Vice President, Church Ministries
The Christian and Missionary Alliance
Colorado Springs, Colorado
"George Fox
College has had an excellent relationship with IDAK Group, Inc. for several
years. IDAK was strategic in consulting George Fox College regarding the
development of a career program. This organization, in my observation.
operates with the highest level of integrity and that trust relationship
is invaluable."
Bonnie
Jerke
Career Services Director
George Fox College
Newberg, Oregon
"I have served as a personnel director
with NAIM for 14 years. I find myself continually in a career counseling
situation. The training that I have in the IDAK system has been tremendously
helpful. I use it in immediate counsel, ongoing guidance, staff assessment,
placement, team building and outplacement. I have worked with other systems,
but none have given me as solid and thorough information as did the IDAK
Career Match. I know of no other system or instrument that gives such
accurate and useful information."
Jim Hamilton
North American Indian Missions
British Columbia, Canada
"Knowing the power of the IDAK assessment materials,
I have used this material with employees, homemakers, educators, professionals
and Christian leaders across North America."
Bruce McNicol
President
Leadership Catalyst
Phoenix, Arizona
Much of my time is spent counseling people either contemplating
or making career changes. Career Match is not only helpful in these times;
it is essential. I have no doubt that the accurate information provided
for these individuals through Career Match will replace confusion with
satisfaction."
Bert Downs
President
Western Seminary
Portland, Oregon
"In our day, opportunities for service face us
in bewildering numbers, complexity, and variety. Discovering what a person
should do, where a person `fits' can be a monumental task. Such `tools'
as IDAK Career Match are invaluable. I recommend it highly."
Norman Cook, D.D.
Director, Missions Department
Multnomah School of the Bible
Portland, Oregon
"IDAK Career Match is the first assessment tool
that I've seen which affirms a person's total talents, gifts, and personality
package. I am overwhelmingly pleased with IDAK Career Match and heartily
encourage its use, especially with those who are frustrated with the stereotypes
which so often paralyze us. I specially want to encourage its use for
those who have a background in music and the arts."
Byron Spradlin
Director
Artists in Christian Testimony
Nashville, Tennessee
"Western Seminary has held IDAK's work in high
enough regard that we have given serious thought to engaging it as part
of our student evaluation and assessment. The work of IDAK has been very
well received and is highly regarded on the campus."
Robert W. Wiggins
Director, Admissions and Records
Western Seminary
Portland, Oregon
"IDAK's understanding of natural talents enables
pastors to have a better grip on the Scriptures as it relates to their
leadership role and aptitudes. Too many have been confused too long about
this key area. That is the main reason why we have so many pastors who
are misplaced, burned out, or have a sense of failing in their ministry."
Russ Korth
Author and Representative
Churches Alive
Sulphur Springs, Texas
"I have done church consulting over the years and
considerable personal counseling is a by-product of my speaking ministry.
Not only have the IDAK materials and John's consulting greatly assisted
me personally, but an unbelievable number of referrals that I have sent
him. It's amazing how many people I've encountered who need to understand
how God has gifted them."
Jay Carty
Author, Church Consultant
Yes! Ministries
Santa Barbara, California
"Within a short time John Bradley's program gave
me renewed confidence that, indeed, there was life after professional
football. I was reassured by the knowledge that God had gifted me for
more than just playing quarterback, encouraged by the discovery of unrecognized
strengths and expectant as a new direction began to unfold."
Jim Zorn
Quarterback Coach
Seattle Seahawks
"I have been associated with IDAK for over ten
years. The training and experience I have received have given me greater
enablement in my marriage and in my ministry since I have been able to
identify my own natural talents as well as those of other people who minister
alongside of me. John Bradley is finally unlocking the secrets to knowing
the difference between natural talents and spiritual gifts. I am delighted
with this good work."
Richard Hagenbaugh, D.Min.
Senior Pastor
Gateway Baptist Church
Portland, Oregon
"I have seen the IDAK process change the lives
of individuals as they have discovered their natural talents. This is
a great resource for pastors and church administrators."
Lauren Calkins
Former District Superintendent
The Christian and Missionary Alliance
When it was suggested that I go through the IDAK process
of analyzing my aptitudes, I was rather skeptical. At the time I was at
a crossroads in my life, unsure which direction I should take. But it
didn't take much exposure to John Bradley's thinking and style to change
my attitude. As a result of the assessment process, I felt better equipped
to eliminate some options and to pursue others with a sense of confidence.
The ministry choice I have made matches who I am and what I do best better
than any other ministry I've ever been involved in."
Chuck Kelley, President
Bridge Builders, International
"We are so thankful to finally find the tool that
we can offer to professional athletes to help them make mid career transitions."
Norm and Bobbe Evans
Directors
Professional Athletes Outreach
Seattle, Washington
