John has over 30 years experience in counseling and coaching mid-career adults to find their unique calling. He has helped several thousand men and women transition from stressful or deadend careers to positions that fit their values, skills and passion. He has been on numerous television and radio programs. He is a certified Career Management Professional and has authored Discovering Your Natural Talents (NavPress), Switching Tracks (Baker '91) Christian Career Planning (Multnomah '79) and the IDAK Career Match System.

John is married to Cathy (1973) and has two children and two grandsons. He enjoys white water rafting, sea kayaking, wilderness hiking, Westfalia adventures.
